Privacy policy

How Lac Digital AS handles personal data when you visit this website, contact us or call our demo line.

Last updated October 10, 2026

The short version

  • This website uses no cookies and no tracking or analytics tools.
  • If you email us, we use what you send to reply.
  • If you call our demo line, you'll be talking to an AI. The call may be recorded and transcribed.
  • When a business uses our AI receptionist, that business decides how its callers' data is used. We process it on their behalf.

Who we are

Lac Digital AS (Norwegian org. no. 938 577 633), Vakåsveien 18A, 1395 Hvalstad, Norway, is the data controller for the processing described here. We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which applies in Norway. Send privacy questions to post@lacdigital.no.

When you visit this website

We don't set cookies or use analytics or advertising tools. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so your browser doesn't fetch anything from Google or other third parties.

The website is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify keeps technical logs – including IP address, browser type and time of visit – to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

When you contact us

When you email us, we process your name, email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply and follow up – for example, to set up a meeting.

Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries, or steps you've asked us to take before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)). If we don't end up working together, we delete your inquiry no later than 12 months after our last contact.

When you call the demo line

The demo line is answered by the Lac Digital assistant, which is an AI – not a person. It can tell you about our service, transfer you to a demo salon and book a meeting with us.

What we collect

  • The number you call from, plus the time and length of the call
  • An audio recording of the call and a written transcript
  • Anything you tell the assistant, such as your name, business and email address
  • The meeting time, if you book a meeting with us

Why

To run the demo, book and follow up on meetings, fix problems and improve the assistant. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in demonstrating and improving our service (Art. 6(1)(f)). The assistant tells you at the start of the call that it's an AI and that the call may be recorded.

Appointments you make with the demo salon are just a demonstration – no real appointment is booked.

How long we keep it

Recordings and transcripts are deleted after 90 days. Details of a meeting you've booked are kept for as long as our conversation continues, the same as email inquiries.

Please don't share sensitive information, such as health details, during a demo call.

When a business uses our AI receptionist

When a salon or other business uses our AI receptionist, that business is the data controller for information about the people who call it. Lac Digital acts as a data processor and handles that data only on the business's instructions, under a data processing agreement. If you've called one of our clients and have questions about your data, please contact that business.

For the businesses we work with, we process contact persons' names, email addresses and phone numbers to deliver our service (Art. 6(1)(b)). Invoices and other accounting records are kept for as long as Norwegian bookkeeping law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can also ask us to restrict processing, object to it, or send you your data in a machine-readable format. Email post@lacdigital.no and we'll respond within one month.
